Black History Month Event - Thank you!

THANK YOU for an incredible Black History Month Celebration. What an amazing turnout!

The energy, engagement and support from the entire St. Philip School community made the first Black History Month event truly special. Seeing so many students, parents, and educators come together to honour history, celebrate culture, and embrace unity was inspiring.

We would like to give a special shout out to the students and educators for their beautiful artwork and displays.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, donors, and special guests that shared their time or contributed to the event. Your contributions helped us create meaningful experiences that we will cherish: Afrocana Superstore, King’s Independent Grocer, Timvic Fashion, Sarah Iyoryisa, Kay Onuoha, Ifeyinwa Okongwu, Pollard Learning, Emmanuel Onuoha, Tokun Olatunde, Olufemi Adeojo, Mercy Ekezie.

The delicious food was purchased from Tastebud Kitchen (meat pies, chicken, puff puffs) and Ritual on Main (spring rolls, donuts). We also received a donation of puff puffs from the Afrocana Superstore as well.

Thank you to our planning committee. Your dedication and hard work made this celebration seamless and impactful: Oge Nwachukwu, Ifeyinwa Okongwu, Ifeoma Kennedy, Anastasia Bruce, Miranda Lee, Fatima Ahmed, Kelly Cochrane and Michelle McIver.

This year’s celebration was a milestone, and we can’t wait to make next year’s event even bigger and better. Thank you for showing up, showing support, and making history with us.

Let's keep the tradition alive!
