New sod has been installed around our junior play structure!

Super thankful to Ottawa Interlock Landscaping & Construction who fit us in to their schedule this weekend and were able to lay new sod and plant a tree for us

Please please please help us to keep your kids off the grass after hours so that our grass can take root and grow !!!

Mr. Kelly has set up a student watering schedule to take care of the sod until the end of the school year.

If you are willing to be part of a team of parents who will take care of the grass over the summer, please contact danakean@gmail.com.  Help us to protect our investment! Sod is not cheap!

Play structure update

Although we had an inspector out to inspect the play structure on Friday, there were a few outstanding items that were required to be fixed before the board will approve the use of the play structure by the kids. Namely:
1. there is a component missing from the structure.
2. the label for the structure is missing which indicates which age range the structure is appropriate for.
3. the gravel path on the right of the structure must use stone dust instead of gravel for accessibility reasons.
We hope to get these three issues sorted by the end of the week and that you can help us by encouraging the kids to be patient with this process. Thanks

2017 Cake Walk: Bakers needed!

The cake walk is looking for just a few more cake donations to fill up our cake tables. This event is certainly a highlight of the fair.  Cakes, cupcakes, pies or any other sweet treat all welcomed. Cakes can be dropped off the morning of the Fun Fair near the office from 8:00-9:20AM. Volunteer opportunities for St. Philip Fun Fair Friday June 2nd!

Volunteer sign up is now open for our St. Philip Fun Fair on Friday June 2nd. Please note the change from Thursday evening to Friday evening was made this year due to popular request. This is a huge event for our school with a BBQ, cake walk, blow up amusements and new this year: a silent auction, canadiana trivia table, and obstacle course. We need MANY volunteers to make this happen. If you are a family with little ones, please consider trading off with your significant other and working a short half hour shift. If you are a family without little ones, please consider working a shift or two while your older kids run amok. Teenagers can get volunteer hours while working the games/trivia/obstacle course. We will be inviting community members to attend the GRAND OPENING of our play structure during this event - so please please please help us to make it successful by signing up here:
